End Fittings
The end fitting is what connects a gas strut to the door and the frame. Ball-and-socket fittings tolerate a few degrees of misalignment and unclip for removal, which is why they are the default on canopy and vehicle doors. Eyelets on clevis pins are rigid and cheaper, correct only where the geometry stays true. Spherical eyelets handle heavy doors that rack as they open.Thread size must match your strut: M6 for the SA4000 series, M8 for SA4100, and up from there. See the sizing guide if you are unsure, and mounting brackets for the other half of the job.
